The Gosford Regional Library MakerSpace is a self led creative space where participants can independently use specialist equipment to work on their own projects. Equipment bookings and drop-in’s take place during our opening hours, with staff overseeing safety and providing general guidance.

Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3pm

Requirements

To book and use the equipment, participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Aged 16 years or older (photo ID required)
  • Valid library membership (free to join)
  • Enclosed shoes worn at all times
  • Completed MakerSpace safety induction (booked online)

Equipment Bookings

Bookings for equipment are available in sessions:

  • Session 1 – 10am to 12pm
  • Session 2 – 1pm to 3pm

The following equipment can be booked online, subject to availability and maintenance:

3D Printers

  • Bambu Lab H2D
  • Bambu Lab X1C
  • STL files are accepted. 
  • Tinkercad is used for Computer-Aided Design software
  • Bambu Studio is used for slicing.

Textile and Sewing Machines

  • Brother Sewing Machines (NV1300, NV1800Q)
  • Brother Overlocker CN3550 Coverstitch
  • Brother 800E Embroidery Machine

Vinyl Cutting Machines

  • Cricut Maker 4
  • Cricut Explore 4

Drop In Equipment

A selection of tools is available for drop in use, subject to space capacity. Drop in tools are available on a first come, first served basis, with no bookings required. These include:

  • Hot tools such as irons, EasyPress and glue guns
  • General workshop and hand tools
  • Hand textile and craft tools
  • Badge making equipment
  • Art, drawing and painting materials

Consumables and Materials

Consumables are available to use and purchase during your session. You may also bring your own materials with staff approval (no electrical equipment). Available consumables include a limited range of vinyl and iron on materials, paper and card stock, textile materials and general craft and adhesive supplies.
