Preparing Kids for Emergencies
At this workshop kids will learn practical skills that contribute to disaster resilience and help them be prepared for an emergency.
Presented by The Red Cross, this interactive workshop encourages children to be active participants in their own emergency preparedness and help reduce real and imagined fears around all kinds of emergencies.
At the workshop we will discuss:
• the importance of being prepared
• the thoughts and feelings that may arise before, during and after an emergency
• what to pack in an emergency kit
Everyone will then decorate a pillowcase to take home, to start their own personal emergency kit.
For children aged 4+ years.
Bookings essential. Book online from this page or ask in any library branch.
