School holiday program: Writing for your senses at Woy Woy Library

Explore what’s around you as a way of bringing detailed description into your writing.

In this creative, fun, active and inclusive workshop we will use writing exercises, and our own observations, to find ways of developing description in our stories. This workshop is suitable for all types of writers – non-fiction, screenwriters, poets, storytellers and short fiction writers as well as new and seasoned writers.

High school aged youth

This event will be held outside on the Woy Woy Library deck courtyard, weather permitting. It is advisable that attendees wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle. 

If the weather is inclement the event will be held inside the Library in the Spike Milligan program room. 

Bookings open Monday 16 December, 7am. 

About the facilitator:
Merran Winchester is a storyteller, writer, radio/audio producer and drama teacher. She will use her experience across these areas to create a fun, informative workshops that supports the development of each participants own process and their unique voice and expression.
