Home Library Service

How does it work?

The Home Library Service delivers and exchanges library items to eligible Library Members on a regular basis.

Who is eligible?

This free service is for members who are unable to visit their local library in person, either temporarily or permanently. This includes people with a disability, chronic illness (including mental illness), fragility and limited mobility and their carers.

What does the service provide?

The Home Library Service can visit customers at their home or care facility. Our home Library Officers will work with you to develop a personal profile of what you want/like to read, watch or listen to, based on your preferences.

All borrowing materials available through the Central Coast Library Service are available through the Home Library Service.

These include:

  •     Fiction and Non Fiction books (including large print)
  •     Magazines
  •     Material in community languages
  •     Audiobooks and MP3s
  •     Music CDs
  •     DVDs

We also offer regular bulk deliveries to care facilities and a delivery only service for eligible members who prefer to select their own books.
